Work in Progress

Slaughterford with Land-Rover.
First session. View from photograph taken along a green-lane by the By-Brook just along from the village.
I like it using only two or three colours, and how the light comes through the trees.
Acrylic on 12 x 8″ canvas board.
September corner of Sunflower field From photograph taken as the sunflowers were starting to drop at Kellaways, Near Chippenham, Wiltshire. Painted with acrylic on 16″ x 12″ Loxley canvas board First time using Loxley and I am very pleased with how the paints flow on the surface.

Walk through the trees, version 2 This time with blue sky and soft clouds, also hills in the distance with Wiltshire White Horse near the brow of the hill. Thought better than to paint the Cerne Giant on the hill

Rudloe to Bath  – Work in Progress Update 1 – Beside the Bath Road at Rudloe, just as it starts to drop down to Box, the trees open up revealing the most wonderful view across the By-Brook valley, over to Colerne and Thickwood over on the high ground, and towards Bath in the far distance. Having made this journey many hundreds of times, the view is always stunning. Update 2 – Water tower, church and Colerne on the high ground. Farm in the By-Brook valley and roof & chimney just below the first field. Man with small dog. Update 3 – Roofs of valley farm buildings, colour of various fields, man clothing, detail of r/h bush.
